Our Mission and Philosophy
Fox Valley Warming Shelter, Inc. seeks to provide overnight, temporary shelter to homeless adult men and women, and to address other needs by collaborating with community resources.
1. All human beings have the right to meet their basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter.
2. Each person should be treated with respect and dignity.
3. The presence of God dwells in every person.
Hope Dwells Within
While our clients may have temporarily lost their way, we believe they haven’t lost their hope. FVWS empowers our clients to set and achieve goals through an individualized, structured program of support and network of community resources to guide them on their way to self-sufficiency.
*All adults in need are welcome at the Shelter, unless disruptive or pose a danger to themselves or others. The Fox Valley Warming Shelter, Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, physical/mental disability or criminal history.
